Build Fire Fighting Training Area - 5th Canadian Division Support Base (CDSB) Gagetown

The Department of National Defence (DND) is proposing a project. The intent of this project is to develop a Fire Fighting Training Area at the corner of Champlain and Ganong Streets within the 5 Canadian Division Support Base (5 CDSB) Gagetown that meets the needs of the 5 CDSB Gagetown Firehall's on-site training requirements. Training items include a Classroom/Trailer, Burn High Angle Training Tower and Stairs (BHATT), Interior Hallway Fire Fighting Unit (IHFFU), Drafting Pit, Auto Extrication Pad, Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) Burn Pit.

March 24, 2025 – The public comment period on the project is closed. The Department of National Defence is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
