Construction of 100 kW Grid-Tied Solar Array

The project will entail the installation of approximately 330 grid-tied photovoltaic solar panels at the site of the former Environment and Climate Change Canada CAPMoN weather station, located within the Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site frontcountry. The goal of the project is to generate renewable electricity and contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gases associated with the park's operations. The solar panels will be mounted on a racking system anchored with screw piles or poured concrete foundations. Trenching will be required for the installation of electrical wiring to connect the array with the existing Nova Scotia power grid at the site. The project will be reviewed via a Basic Impact Assessment.
