Installation of Floating Wharves at Falls Point Small Craft Harbour, Shelburne County, NS

The Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada - Small Craft Harbours is proposing to install floating wharves at the Small Craft Harbour in Falls Point (Woods Harbour) in 2020/2021. The coordinates of the project are 43°31'52" N, 65°44'22" W. The proposed project will include the installation of 7 floating wharves (15 m to 18.3 m long, 3.65 m wide), all aligned for a total length of 115 m, and anchored with previously installed pile piles. A concrete abutment and a gangway will be installed to access the floats. Electrical power will be supplied to the floating wharves for lighting. Project commencement is subject to DFO-SCH operational priorities and funding, as well as the receipt of other regulatory approval processes, which could delay the completion of the project to March 2025.
