Canadian Forces Housing Agency (CFHA) Gagetown Multi-Unit Development - 5th Canadian Division Support Base Gagetown

The Proposed Project

The Department of National Defence (DND) Canadian Forces Housing Agency (CFHA) is proposing to construct two semi-detached housing units on St John Avenue and three 12-unit apartment-style buildings on Huron Street in Oromocto, New Brunswick. The Project area is within the 5th Canadian Division Support Base Gagetown (5 CDSB) Gagetown CFHA housing area, both sites are currently vacant and have not been previously developed based on historic aerial imagery provided by the Department of National Defence. The sites will include the building, associated parking lots, sidewalks, fencing and shed structures along with installation of overhead services, connection to the existing municipal water system and sanitary sewer lines by the Town of Oromocto.

Latest update

April 10, 2025 – The public comment period on the project is closed. The Department of National Defence is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
