Expansion of Saint Vincent de Paul Cemetery

In 2025, Kouchibouguac National Park will be expanding the Saint Vincent de Paul Cemetery located along highway 117. The current delineated area no longer has the capacity for additional lots and requires the boundary to be expanded. The project will consist of tree clearing, stump removal, site preparation, hydroseeding and fencing. A total area of 700 sqm will be cleared resulting in an additional 75 new lots. Work is set to begin in the winter of 2025 (tree cutting) to respect the nesting bird season and will progress with seasonal changes (i.e. ground thawing), allowing for equipment to access the area.
