Bilijk Wetland Compensation

The project consists of regarding and replacing culverts to improve drainage across the road and is anticipated to enhance adjacent wetland habitats. Activities also include removal of debris and shrub/tree planting that is anticipated to improve hydraulic conditions in the stream and adjacent floodplain wetlands. Activities will be accomplished with a combination of heavy equipment (excavators, dump trucks, dozers and graders) as well as manual labor and hand tools.  

Latest update

November 25, 2024 - Indigenous Services Canada has concluded its review of the Bilijk Wetland Compensation project as part of a condition and mitigation measure to the environmental determination of the Muwin Crescent Development (Ref #83491). The project will proceed and support positive environmental benefits.
