Slipway and Breakwater Reconstruction at Seacow Pond Small Craft Harbour, Prince Edward Island

The proposed project involves the rehabilitation and replacement of existing marine infrastructure. At Structure 502 (slip), the existing Berlin wall sidewalls will be replaced within the same footprint using new steel H-piles and precast concrete panels, with existing piles and panels removed and the concrete wearing surface retained. At Structure 305 (breakwater), the existing timber-piled structure will be replaced within the same footprint using new timber piles with concrete pile caps and decking; the new structure will be slightly higher than the existing one. At Structure 308 (breakwater), the existing steel sheet pile cell will be repaired by welding new steel plates to the exterior and filling voids with cast-in-place concrete, resulting in a slightly higher structure with no change in footprint. At Structure 604 (breakwater), the existing rock breakwater will be reshaped and overlaid with larger armour stone to increase height and stability, with a minor footprint expansion anticipated toward the south.
