Upgrading of the fire access road at 2251 René-Lévesque Boulevard in Saguenay

The federal government facility at 2251, boulevard René-Lévesque in Saguenay requires upgrading of the fire access road that runs around the Gilles-Marceau building in Saguenay. The work will help maintain safe access around the building in the event of an emergency response to a fire. A drainage ditch will be built to collect rainwater. The work will be carried out in two phases, a southern phase and a northern phase.

The issues identified in this project are minor. The sensitive environments present in the study area will not be affected by the works, and the phasing of the works takes into account the bird nesting period, thus protecting the nests of migratory birds likely to use the surrounding woodlands.

Latest update

PSPC issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
