AFEC, Containers Relocation at Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Bagotville, Saguenay (Quebec), Aircraft Glider Area

The Department of National Defense (DND) wants to build a gravel area to accommodate several containers that need to be relocated. The area will be laid out in a grassy area and will cover an approximately 2,000 m2 area, about 110 meters long by 18 meters wide. The work involves topsoil excavation over the entire area to approximately 15 centimeters depth for a total excavation of approximately 300 cubic meters. Then, the site will be backfilled with a 150 millimeters of crushed gravel (MG-20) layer or about 300 cubic meters of backfill. There are currently plans to reuse topsoil excavated from the site. Otherwise, the soils will be characterized and disposed off-site according to the analyze results and the applicable regulations.
