Relocation of the Deployable Maintenance Facility (DMF) Training Compound – 4 Wing Cold Lake

The Department of National Defence (DND) is proposing a project. Located within the footprint of the Future Fighter Capability Project (FFCP) at 4 Wing Cold Lake, the Department of National Defence is proposing to relocate the existing Deployable Maintenance Facility (DMF) compound to allow for FFCP infrastructure construction. The proposed project estimated 42,000 square meter project footprint will be comprised of a concrete working area, a gravel staging area, a security perimeter road, and construction laydown and materials/equipment storage areas.

February 13, 2026— The authorities issued their Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
