Pathway to Learning

Saddle Lake Cree Nation's (the Recipient) Pathway to Learning (the Project) is a planned 2844.8 metre long, 2.5 metre wide asphalt pathway that connects the new 40 Acres Development to the Townsite, following the south side of Highway 652 and then travelling south along the west side of 50th Street in Saddle Lake No. 125.

Project activities include:

-              New cross-walk pavement markings

-              New lights along trail (solar powered flashing beacons)

-              New benches in developed areas

-              New signage in developed areas

The project will require 16,100 square metres of vegetation clearing, and 8,600 cubic metres of excavation. Project activities include stripping, grading, application and compaction of subgrade, and surfacing. There may be a need for small drainage culverts to reduce flooding or ice in some areas. The project will require works in/near water on undeveloped lands.
