0861 - Upgrade (33 & 48 - 60mm) North Janvier

The Janvier region has experienced growth that has increased the demand on the existing Janvier Gas distribution system. In order to continue to reliably serve the customers in Janvier, and support future growth in the region ATCO needs to upgrade the gas distribution mains in the region to increase the systems capacity. As part of this approximately 1800m of existing 42/48mm PE pipe will be abandoned, and replaced with 1800m of 60mm PE pipe. Services for customers along the gas main will be transferred to the new main. Installation will be done through mechanical excavation, open trenching, and HDD. Hydrovac will be used for daylighting other utilities and where bell-holes are needed for HDD installation. Once work is complete, ATCO will restore the disturbed ground.
