Cowessess First Nation Solid Waste Transfer Station

This project is to construct a new solid waste transfer station (SWTS) for Cowessess First Nation on previously cultivated land. New infrastructure includes an access road, full enclosure fence with gate, operator building, grade separated WTS with roll-off (RO) bins for some residential waste, and diversion bays for recyclable material.

Sept 19, 2024 - Indigenous Services Canada issued its notice of determination Notice of Determination for the Cowessess First Nation Solid Waste Transfer Station (iaac-aeic.gc.ca) and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
