Kawacatoose First Nation Road Repair Project

Kawacatoose First Nation is proposing to implement a road upgrade project. An assessment throughout the Reserve was completed to identify areas that required repairs and upgrades. Total length of roads to be upgraded is approximately 35.89 km. The upgrades address the need to mitigate safety hazards, reduce vehicle wear and tear, and improve accessibility for emergency and essential service vehicles.

Construction activities will include clearing encroaching vegetation, excavation and repair of surface failures in roadway, roadway surfacing including gravel application and compaction as well as repairing existing draining conditions. The project will also include the decommissioning of selected roads.
