Cote First Nation Solid Waste Transfer Station
To plan, design and construct a solid waste transfer station and site access road for the Cote First Nation on Cote IR 64.
Transfer station size is planned to be 60 m x 70 m. Access road is 550 m in length by 8 m wide top. Transfer station and access road are constructed of a 450 mm thick granular surface on geotextile. Traffic gravel surface to be applied over entire site and road. Concrete retaining wall to be constructed with adjacent concrete pads for the 30 cu.yd. waste bin placement. Site enclosed in a perimeter chain link fence. Office on site plus two 8 ft x 20 ft sea-cans for e-waste and used oil. Concrete retaining wall for ramp disposal area and concrete blocks for separation of non-household waste materials. Site lighting is provided by solar powered street lights.Three waste diversion bays are constructed with concrete block. Drainage ditch is included for surface water management. Expected life span is 10 - 15 years.
