Albany Potash Mine Project

CanPacific Potash is proposing the construction and operation of a potash solution mine located within the Regional Municipalities of Lajord and Francis, approximately 30 kilometers southeast of Regina, Saskatchewan. As proposed, the Albany Potash Mine Project would be constructed within the proponent's existing potash lease, and operate over an area of about 24,751 hectares. The project would also involve a plant site, a well field of injection and recovery wells for potash extraction, a development cavern, a cooling pond, a salt storage area, on-site fuel storage, and connections to utilities including power, water, and natural gas. It would produce approximately 3.25 million tonnes of potash per year for a predicted mine life of 70 years.
