Cap-aux-Meules Airport - Refueling station

The project consists of installing petroleum equipment for the storage and distribution of aviation fuel. This new facility will allow aircraft to be refueled with A-1 jet fuel. The new facility will include a ULC certified horizontal storage tank with a capacity of 50 000 liters as well as a distribution cabinet. A kiosk housing meters and printers for transaction receipts will also be set up nearby.

The area occupied by the new equipment will be approximately 12 feet x 45 feet, approximately 540 square feet.

The existing traffic areas on the airport grounds will be used for aircraft traffic to the refueling site.

The electrical power required to power the equipment will be drawn from the airport hangar. The cables will be buried underground between the hangar and the equipment.

Excavation work will be required for the construction of a concrete slab approximately 10 feet x 40 feet. The excavation for the slab will be 24 inches deep. Excavation work is also required for the trench used to route the electrical cables from the hangar. A depth of 36 '' is required for this trench.
