Electric Bus Charging Station Removal and Demolition

December 17, 2024 – Winnipeg Airports Authority Inc. must determine whether the proposed Electric Bus Charging Station Removal and Demolition project at Winnipeg Richardson International Airport (YWG), located in Winnipeg, Manitoba is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Winnipeg Airports Authority Inc. is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project

New Flyer proposes to undertake the Electric Bus Charging Station Removal and Demolition project at Winnipeg Richardson International Airport (YWG), located in Winnipeg, Manitoba.  This project involves excavation and backfill, concrete sidewalk removal and construction, removal of an overhead signage structure and overhead electric vehicle charging station structure including foundation demolition, removal of electrical equipment, disconnection and removal of a Manitoba Hydro electrical service and landscape/roadway restoration in the area of Air Terminal Building at 1970 Wellington Ave, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
