Timber harvesting on Salmon River 1

Splatsin is proposing to undertake timber harvesting operations within the Salmon River 1 Reserve, targeting areas affected by the Hullcar Mountain Wildfire (K41796).

The proposed activities include the construction, reactivation, and deactivation of forestry roads, as well as timber harvesting, on-site processing, and log hauling.

– Public Comments Invited
May 12, 2025 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the timber harvesting on Salmon River 1 (damaged by the Hullcar Mountain Fire), located in Glenemma BC is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. Written comments must be submitted by June 12, 2025 to:
