Assets East Gate Water Well

This project entails the drilling of a new potable water well at the Banff East Gate. The goal is to create a reliable, long-term source of high-quality raw water for treatment and distribution, utilizing the existing water treatment facility. The new well will replace the current well, which is no longer operational and will be decommissioned. The estimated water usage for the new well is expected to be similar to that of the previous well, as the intended purpose will remain unchanged.

Latest update

February 27 2026 – Parks Canada issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
