Town of Banff Caribou Street Reconstruction

The Town of Banff is proposing the reconstruction of a stretch of Caribou Street from Lynx St. to Banff Ave. The scope includes the complete replacement of all sanitary, storm and water utility infrastructure, including services to bordering buildings. Shallow electrical, gas, and telecommunication services will also be opportunistically replaced as excavation proceeds. The section of roadway between Lynx St. and Bear St. will be realigned to match alignment of Caribou St. from Lynx St. to Bow Ave. to enable construction of a conventional intersection. The reconstruction of surface works between Banff Ave. and Bear St. will match that of Bear St., and surface works between Lynx St. and Bear St. will match standard curb and gutter asphalt roadway. Staging areas will be potentially be located at several locations including Caribou St., Lynx St., Bear St. and Beaver St. surface parking lots. Materials will be procured by the General Contractor awarded the project. The overall project site will be roughly 3200 square meters.
