ATCO Town of Banff Compressed Natural Gas Connection

ATCO's project would entail welding fittings onto the top and bottom of the 10" gas main below the Bow River vehicle bridge in the Town of Banff and installing a new gas line through the south bridge footing. The work would require welding and grinding above the river bank but not over the river. This project would give ATCO Gas a road accessible tie in point to a large diameter gas line to supply the Town of Banff with natural gas via compressed natural gas trailers in the event of the high pressure line being isolated. Currently an isolation on the high pressure line would cause the Town of Banff to lose natural gas service.
