APEX Utilities Inc. - Opasikoniwew Housing Authority: Hoole Creek Road Subdivision Phase 2 Gasification Project

APEX Utilities Inc., is proposing the construction and opertaition of a natural gas distribution system as part of of the Hoole Creek Road Phase II Subdivision development being undertaken by the Opasikoniwew Housing Authority. The gas distribution system will consist of 595m of 60.3mm diameter polyethylene pipe and 21m of 114.3mm diameter polyethylene gas distribution main. Installation will occur within the existing road and utility alignment using open trenching installation methods and boring under existing roads.

April 9, 2026 - Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Hoole Creek Road Subdivision Phase 2 Gasification Project, located in Wabasca IR No. 166A is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.
