Swan River 32 Lot West Subdivision Project

Swan River First Nation is developing a subdivision in Kinuso consisting of 16 lots and 4 potential additional lots over an area of 3.4 hectares. In addition, there are 13 additional lots over an area of 2.0 hectares. This location is west of an existing subdivision, has no concern or potential subsurface contamination, and the land has been cleared prior to construction beginning. Associated infrastructure to the subdivision such as utilities and drainage will be constructed. A new gravel road will connect the subdivision to an existing unnamed residential road. A culvert will be installed to cross the ephemeral draw. Roadways within the development will be graveled with an option of asphalt concrete pavement; traffic loads are expected to be light.

Latest update

April 23, 2025 – Indigenous Services Canada issued its Notice of Determination (iaac-aeic.gc.ca) and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
