Whitefish Lake First Nation: Atikameg Child & Family Services Administration Building

Whitefish Lake First Nation proposes the construction of a new 2,350 square meter administration building in Atikameg, Alberta to house the community's Child & Family Services programs. The proposed location is minimally developed and will require the removal of an existing structure, vegetation clearing, grubbing, earthworks, utility hookups, construction of parking spaces, and construction of a steel framed two story building on a concrete slab. The building will include a geo-exchange heating and cooling system and a solar array to assist with electrical consumption. Two contaminated sites have been identified for further review in proximity to the proposed building location.
