modernisation de la la lagune du lac La Ronge à la lagune du lac Morin et à la station de pompage des eaux usées du lac La Ronge

The Lac La Ronge Indian Band (LLRIB) Hall Lake community located on Morin Lake IR No. 217 wastewater collection and treatment system requires upgrades to the gravity main collection system, two sewage pumping stations (SPS') and the two-cell lagoon. The lagoon is located on provincial Crown land (parcel number 153141252 - Plan 73P04 Ext 1) and the SPS' are located on the LLRIB Morin Lake Reserve land.

SPS No. 1, constructed in 1994 is located in the northern part of Hall Lake, along Hall Lake Road. It consists of a building with a single 1,800 mm wet well, two submersible pumps, a standby generator all within a fenced compound. SPS No. 1 collects wastewater from the northern portion of the community including Sally Ross School.

SPS 2 was constructed in 2007, it is also located along Hall Lake Road in the southeastern sector of the community.  It consists of a fenced compound and a building housing a 2,400 mm wet well and two submersible pumps  All of the community wastewater is collected at SPS No. 2 and sent to the lagoon through a 150 mm force main. The proposed SPS expansions are required to address issues associated with the age of the buildings, mechanical and electrical equipment and to meet future capacity as the community grows. The expansion of the SPS buildings will be within the existing fenced compounds.

The existing wastewater lagoon was constructed in 1995. The proposed lagoon expansion is planned for the north and east sides of the existing wastewater lagoons, to a distance of about 220m from the shore of Hall Lake. The existing lagoon has an area of about 4.25 hectares (ha) and the proposed expansion will be 7.79 ha, for a combined area of 12.04 ha. The proposed new primary cell will have an area of  about 2.64 ha comprising the existing primary and secondary cells, more or less.  The proposed secondary cell will contain a volume of 49, 895 cubic meters.
