New (Single) Tower Construction

Tough Country Communications Ltd. is proposing the construction of a 12 meter telecommunication tower to provide high-speed internet access to the communities of Summerview and Chokio. An antenna will be mounted at the top of the tower. The antenna will operate in the 18.85 and 80.85 GHz frequency bands. All of the equipment necessary to operate this facility will be housed in a small equipment cabinet located on site. This tower may undergo future modifications or the addition/replacement of antennas.

Upgrade (Multiple) Tower

Tough Country Communications Ltd. is proposing to the addition of two 0.60 and 0.90 meter antennas, in the 18.85 and 80.85 GHz frequency band, mounted at the top of two existing 12 and 30 meter towers which are located on Brocket, Piikani Nation Reserve. The antennas will be installed to improve network access to high-speed internet. In the future, the existing towers may have other antennas and other radiocommunication equipment added or replaced.
