Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation - CU263 Water Treatment Plant & System Upgrade

Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation is proposing to upgrade their water intake system and water treatment to include a new raw water intake line, new pump station, new raw water feed line, new power and control building, and a new water treatment plant.

April 9, 2026 - Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed CU263 Water Treatment Plant & System Upgrade project, located in Sturgeon Lake IR No. 154 is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.
