Reconstruction of the navigation aid and the heliport at Rochers-au-Cormoran island

The Canadian Coast Guard wants to replace a wooden heliport and a fixed navigation aid tower located on Rochers-au-Cormoran Island in the Golfe Saint-Laurent. The fixed navigation aid and the heliport that provides access to it are at the end of their useful life and must therefore be replaced. The work will involve dismantling the existing heliport and navigation aid tower, removing a shelter, building the new heliport with concrete foundations, installing the new navigation aid tower and transporting materials and waste via boat and helicopter. The new heliport will be located near the existing heliport.
