7Corners Installation Rocky Barachois

Parks Canada, in partnership with the Gros Morne Tourism Regional Initiative Partnership (GMTRIP), proposes to install a small interpretive structure at Rocky Barachois as part of the Seven Corners project. The installation will share local settler history and connect visitors to six similar sites in nearby communities. Work will occur on a previously disturbed site and includes minor excavation for a structure and trail. Only minimal vegetation removal is required and there are no anticipated impacts to species at risk or cultural resources. Construction will occur in the fall to avoid peak visitation minimizing impacts to visitor experience.
