Bay of Islands SAR Project, Corner Brook, Newfoundland

DFO, Real Property Safety Security (RPSS) is planning a project at the Bay of Islands Yacht Club in Corner Brook, Newfoundland. The work will include installation of a new 6500L above ground fuel tank including a concrete foundation. The scope of work also includes new overhead utility lines, light poles and a laydown service area to facilitate sea-can placement. The laydown area will involve excavation and placement of a retaining wall at the site.

Fisheries and Oceans Canada- Real Property Safety and Security (DFO-RPSS) intends to make a determination regarding whether carrying out the proposed project, located in Corner Brook, is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, DFO-RPSS is inviting public comments in respect to that determination for 30 days following the posting of this notice.
