Installation of a floating dock at La Tabatière wharf

The villages of the Lower North Shore face major challenges when it comes to inter-village transportation. Whether by plane or boat, current services are often affected by unreliability, adverse weather conditions or extremely limited schedules.

Over the past season, there have been numerous requests from local communities expressing the need for an additional service to facilitate their travel. The main issue raised concerned the inability of many residents to attend medical appointments due to transportation constraints.

The project involves installing a removable floating dock at the height required to enable safe boarding operations for passengers. Current docks require the use of ladders, which poses a problem for some passengers, such as the elderly or disabled. The promoter wishes to offer additional transportation options to the Lower North Shore community.
