Marmot Basin Knob Area Avalanche Berm

Marmot basin is proposing to construct an avalanche mitigation structure above the newly installed Knob Chair top terminal. The proposal is driven by recommendations from a 2023 professional report that assessed avalanche risk associated with operations of the new Knob Chair. The proposed cut and fill berm would be constructed by re-contouring materials on site to achieve a berm that is 25 meters wide, 50 meters long (perpendicular to avalanche flow) and 2 meters high located directly above the Knob Chair top terminal.
