Development of 30 residential lots: Manitou, H, I and J streets and rainwater outfall

The project involves developing and extending 4 streets, including services, and servicing 30 residential lots for housing construction, in the northern part of the community of Ekuanitshit. The project covers an area of approximately 61,350m 2.

A wet pond and a stormwater outfall to the Mingan River are also planned.

The main activities are:

- Excavation and removal of topsoil, cut and/or fill and site preparation
of work ;
- Construction of domestic sewer pipes including manholes;
- Construction of storm sewer pipes including manholes;
- Construction of water mains;
- Servicing of lots adjacent to the street;
- Construction of a storm outfall ;
- Construction of a wet pond.

August 9, 2025 – The public comment period on the project is closed. The authorities are considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
