Churchill Airport Terminal Building Roof Rehabilitation

Transport Canada proposes to replace and upgrade the roof of the air terminal building (ATB) at the Churchill Airport. The project is needed because the existing roof is leaking, causing water damage to the ATB.

The scope of work includes concrete slab on grade infill, additional steel roof purlins, and steel columns to support the increased weight of the structure. The work also includes the replacement of the roof covering and wall cladding systems, as well as the replacement of doors and windows. Interior finishes include new partitions, wall, floor, and ceiling finishes to damaged locations. The mechanical works include renovation to existing sanitary drainage and heating and ventilation systems.

The electrical works include renovating the existing main distribution board, lighting system, and branch devices. The system and ancillaries involve renovating the existing fire alarm system and PA system.

The site work includes the replacement of the concrete walkway and site development items.
