Shamattawa RCMP Above Ground Storage Tank Replacement

Replacement of existing above ground storage tanks with new similar sized tanks. The tanks are required to ensure the heating and vehicle fuel needs are met and the Shamattawa detachment remains fully operational. The current system consists of: 1 -50,000 L diesel fuel tank installed in 1995, 10 – 1,136 L day tanks installed in 2005 and 1- 24,100 L automotive gasoline tank installed in 1996. Potential to disturb environmentally impacted soil during construction activities. Mitigation measures will be implemented if impacted soil is encountered.

Latest update

28-07-2025 – The Royal Canadian Mounted Police issued its Notice of Determination and has determined that the projects is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
