  • The Lake Simcoe South Shore Residents Association is requesting a full and joint Impact/Environmental Assessment of the 2.6 km Fixed Link. The Georgina Island First Nations has recently filed its Detailed Project Plan (DPD) and we disagree with a number of representations made and note a number of omissions in the DPD. We believe that the “Co-operation Agreement between Ontario and Canada on Environmental and Impact Assessment (https://www.canada.ca/en/impact-assessment-agency/corporate/acts-regulations/legislation-regulations/canada-on-cooperation-agreement.html)” signed  on  December 15 reaffirms the need for Ontario to request a full Environmental Assessment of this project.
