Demolition and Disposal of Buildings in the West Block of Grasslands National Park

The proposed project is the demolition and disposal of five buildings: Tanter's house, Tanter's grain bin, Gergovia shack, Gillespie Line Shack, and Larson Pellet Shed. The remnants of the Tanter barn, already collapsed, will also be removed from the site. These are all small, older wooden structures built in the 1950s/1960s with no cellar/basement and no services. The structures will be deconstructed, materials sorted, with untreated wood burned on site and other materials transported to an approved disposal facility. This project will be assessed with a basic impact assessment.
