To whom it may concern,

I am a 4th year Geography and Environmental Studies Major at the University of Victoria. I have looked into the project proposal regarding the expansion of the Global Container Terminals in Delta, BC and there was an area of concern that stood out to me. You have outlined in your project description that the project lies within SRKW Critical Habitat. You have also highlighted that dredging is required for this project, and that the site is located close to the mouth of the Fraser River which is one of the most important rivers for Salmon, a major food source for the Southern Resident Killer Whales. Considering the increase in underwater noise due to construction and dredging within the Orcas habitat along with the potential disruption to the Salmon ecosystems I was wondering if there were plans to increase monitoring of population health for both the SRKWs and/or local Salmon stocks?
