I do not support the proposed changes to conditions 3.8 and 6.4.
The conditions were created to protect the sea life and humans who call this region home. I believe any changes to these conditions would adversely effect the impact that the Woodfibre LNG project will have on the Howe Sound.
Woodfibre LNG would have been aware of these conditions in their planning for the project and it is up to them to work out what is profitable and what is not. The biodiversity of this area is only just now recovering from the effects of past mining projects and industrial misuse, and it is vitally important that we protect and enhance, rather than endanger, the ecological health of this region. I urge Minister Guilbeault not to approve these changes.
