The proposed project

The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority Engineering and Asset Management Department (the Applicant) proposes to restore the natural foreshore area of Musqueam Indian Reserve 2 (the Project), located on the Fraser River estuary, 6735 Salish Sea Drive in Vancouver.

The Project consists of:

  • Restoration of the foreshore area, including the removal of debris and unsuitable rip rap.
  • Reinstatement of the dike erosion protection to modern standards including riparian improvements.
  • Enhancement of the Musqueam Creek to improve the aquatic habitat through the creation of pools for salmonids.

The works are expected to be completed in 14 months during standard port authority days and hours. To conduct works in the dry (low tide) works may need to take place outside the port authority's regular construction hours.
