The Proposed Project

The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed a project. This project consists of the construction of 3 cell towers at Albert Head, Canadian Forces Base Esquimalt. One of the towers (A) will be 22 meters high and towers (B and C) will be 8 meters high. The free-standing towers will be built on concrete bases and will have fibre and power trenched to their locations from a predetermined pole. The poles (for power and fibre) are within 10 meters or less. The locations proposed for the towers have grass present and no other vegetation. The total footprint of the three towers will be 17 .
