The Proposed Project

Upgrade (Single) Tower

Access Communications is proposing the addition of 0.6/0.65/0.8m antennas, in the 5.8 & 72 GHz frequency bands, mounted at the top of an existing 36 m tower which is located on Thunderchild First Nation 115C. The antenna will be installed to improve network access to high-speed internet. In the future, the existing tower may have other antennas and other radiocommunication equipment added or replaced.

New Fibre Installation

Access Communications plans to install underground fiber optic cabling, for Internet purposes, to residential homes in Thunderchild First Nation 115C. The project involves the installation of approximately 1.97 km of underground fiber optic cable along Kivimaa Drive, Grid Road and Osprey Drive.

The cable is to be buried by directional drilling, trenching, or using existing conduits, or a combination of these methods in existing roadway alignments.
