New dock installation, located at 306 Sasamat Lane – Public comments invited 

October 25, 2023– As part of its Project and Environmental Review process, the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority must determine whether the proposed New dock installation, located at 306 Sasamat Lane in North Vancouver, B.C is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. 

To help inform this determination and a decision on whether to approve the proposed project, the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.  For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website. In addition, your contact information may be shared with third parties, e.g., the tenant, other relevant agencies, to help respond to your questions and inform possible mitigations.

The proposed project 

The proposed project is for an installation of a new recreational dock at 306 Sasamat Lane in North Vancouver. Installation of a new recreational dock will involve securing precast anchors and attaching an aluminum ramp to connect an already built pre-owned float to an existing patio. 

Proposed dock to include following features: 

  • Approximately 15.2 metre long by 1.2 metre wide aluminum access ramp (between landing and float). 
  • Approximately 10 metre long by 3 metre wide moorage float (dock) on the water to be supported in place by precast concrete anchors.
