March 10^th, 2023 – Infrastructure Canada must determine whether the proposed Yunesit'in Arena Roof and Changeroom Project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Infrastructure Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments will be considered public. The Proposed Project

This Project is taking place within the boundaries of the Stone No. 1 Reserve, home to the Yunesit'in Government (Stone First Nation). 

This project consists of the upgrading of an existing outdoor skating rink (~1450 m²) to accommodate all-season use and activities.

The project works will include:

• site preparation;
• installation of a roof for the skating rink;
• construction of bleacher style seating;
• construction of a changeroom and washroom facility; and
• related works;

There will be no vegetation clearing
