New Rogers Communications Inc. Telecommunication Tower Project in Glacier National Park along Highway 1 - Public Comments Invited

2023-08-03 – Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada must determine whether the proposed project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

Written comments must be submitted by 2023-09-05 to the contact identified on the project page.

The Proposed Project

Rogers Communications Inc. is proposing the installation of a new self-supporting radiocommunication antenna tower, 41 meters in height as a new telecommunications facility, located on Canadian Pacific Railway lands in Glacier National Park along Highway 1.The tower will include six (6) initial antenna types that will provide cellular, and data services in the area, this system will operate in the UHF band. This new tower may have periodic antenna additions or replacements, as required for any Radiocommunication service.
