Mistawasis Nehiyawak Rural Transit Solutions – Public Comments Invited

August 2, 2023 – Infrastructure Canada must determine whether the proposed Mistawasis Nehiyawak Rural Transit Solutions project, located in Mistawasis is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Infrastructure Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project

Purchase multi-passenger vehicles, construct a parking garage and create a pedestrian trail network to expand an existing transit system connecting on and off-reserve members of Mistawasis Nehiyawak to essential services, employment opportunities and medical appointments.
