Big Grassy First Nation Cultural Space Building – Public Comments Invited

April 4th, 2023Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC) must determine whether the proposed Big Grassy First Nation Cultural Space Building, located in Morson, ON is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC) is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project

Big Grassy First Nation will construct a new wood-framed building to be used as a safe space for language and cultural programming, and which will include a gathering and healing area. The building will be 4,055 square feet (376.70 sq. m).
