Notice of intent to make a determination

Piikani First Nation – Public Comments Invited

March 28, 2023, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation must determine whether the proposed Ten (10) modular homes in Piikani First Nation is likely to cause significant adverse effects. To help inform this determination, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.

The Proposed Project

Piikani First Nation is proposing to build Ten (10) modular homes. These homes consist of a single storey building. The homes average building area is approximately 1300 sq ft and construction will include the building and foundation.  Project activities include clearing and grubbing, the installation of access driveway, construction of foundations, backfill and grading, utilities and services including sewer and water piping as well as power and communication lines.
