The Proposed Project

This project includes a single phase of fully serviced housing expansion (ie subdivision development) on the Sheshatshiu Innu First Nation (SIFN) Reserve. The population of SIFN is growing and requires additional housing to meet current and future needs.

The project will consist of the construction of up to 41 residential building lots with a total project footprint of  approximately 10 hectares.  Approximately 1.3 hectares will remain undisturbed.

Project activities include the construction and installation of new infrastructure, including the construction of new roads and installation of utilities and services including water and sewer lines as well as power and communication lines. Activities associated with the development of the proposed infrastructure include clearing and grubbing of vegetation, excavation and ditching
